MISSION
The mission of True Pals Animal Welfare Society (TPAWS) is to foster great stewardship and improve the well-being and health of people, animals, and the environment. We carry out direct programs and services as well as provide a platform to cultivate partnerships across non-profit, government, corporate, educational and the private sectors to create a force multiplier effect through which we can jointly achieve the greatest possible impact.

Mark and Katrina Koop, co-founders of True Pals Animal Welfare Society, loved volunteering and participating in various activities and initiatives, and it was their life-long dream to one day start together a charity to foster great stewardship, and improve the well-being and health of people, animals, and the environment. They thought starting and building a new charitable organization is something that they can really focus on later in life, closer to or during their retirement, when something extraordinary happened that changed all their plans.
Our Vision
The digital revolution has fundamentally changed how the companies that had the resources and access to the expertise needed to deploy state of the art technology across their organizations compete and succeed. It also enabled them to reach previously unimaginable heights. From improving efficiencies, conserving resources and accelerating growth to forming massive partnerships and collaborations, digital tools and technology created a competitive edge for the “haves”. The “have nots”, such as most of the small to medium sized non-profits that provide vital services in their respective communities, are left in the proverbial dust, causing many of them to reduce services or forcing them to close their doors permanently. If we do not fix this disparity, we are in grave danger of thousands of charities disappearing all together, which could lead to millions of animals, people and acres of land uncared for, unprotected, hungry, homeless, forgotten or left behind.

TPAWS’ goal is to develop and distribute digital tools and state of the art technologies that will address the disparities and create tremendous opportunities for all participants to come together to solve the world’s most pressing problems without leaving anyone behind.
TPAWS all-in-one digital platform is designed to democratize access for all charities that further the mission and enable all participants to maximize resources and volunteer time, streamline operations, grow outreach, expand networks and partnership opportunities and generate a force multiplier effect.
TOP DIRECT PROGRAMS
PLATFORM FOR CHARITIES – goal is to provide free or ultra-low-cost digital tools, apps and business software and other resources to non-profit organizations that further the mission
OPIOID CRISES – provide tools to veterinary offices, rescues and shelters to help fight the opioid crises and end the abuse of the animals tragically caught in the opioid epidemic
VOLUNTEER CENTER – provide tools and means to recruit, train, certify, deploy, share and manage volunteers
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT – provide a platform for communities to organize where needed to do good, whether it’s a beach clean-up, disaster relief effort or forest replanting weekend
ADOPT SHELTERS/RESCUES – TPAWS adopts and partners with various shelters and rescues to jointly develop best practices that includes incorporation of state-of-the-art business and automation software, digital technologies and apps to share with others
CHARITY SUPPORT – TPAWS will provide assistance for needy charities, especially the small and purely volunteer-run, including advisory, fundraising, consulting, monetary and physical resources such as food or supplies to organizations that support our mission
PARTNERSHIP CENTER – through the digital platform and various other initiatives TPAWS aims to enable and encourage partnership creation
SUSTAINABLE FARMING – provide guidance and assistance to farmers who wish to convert to sustainable, cruelty-free and/or organic farming operations
